Are you going for a visit or a vacation to Norway? There’s a lot to see and do. Norway is one of the most gorgeous countries in Europe. Take your camera with you as you see the most beautiful sites.
You are going to see a lot of deep fjords as you take a fjords tour. You could be taken by ferry to see the cliffs and you’ll be shown the waterfalls and the snow-capped mountains, it’s just breathtaking. You could also tour the fjords by car if you wanted. Depending on when you’d like to visit Norway, June and July are great months because that is the time for the Midnight Sun. That means longer days and warm weather. If you wanted, once you were on the ferry, you can jump into a kayak and see the fjord from a different angle.
The next thing you are going to want to do in Norway is go skiing. Many tourists go to Norway just to see the gorgeous mountains and ski down them. Geilo is a popular ski area in Norway that many love to ski from. People have been going to that ski resort for many years and it was in 1954 that the resort installed their first ski lift. If you are a beginner or a professional skier, you can have the best time on the slopes. There are forty slopes that a skier can use. It won’t matter if you are an experienced skier or a beginner, you’ll find the right slope that will meet your needs. You’ll see some people using different slopes to snowboard on. There’s a lot to do in Geilo to have fun so you will never be bored here. If you are a good skier and want to try kite-skiing, this is the best place for it. The conditions are the best in the word to try it.
Don’t miss the Nidarosdomen Cathedral. This is Norway’s national sanctuary. The Cathedral was built over Norway’s patron saint, St. Olav. The Cathedral attracts many visitors and in one year it saw about 400,000 tourists from all over the world. The people who live in downtown Trondheim use the Cathedral for their local parish church. You’d be able to attend services that are given several times a week in the Cathedral. When a music recital is given, they use the Cathedral for the recital and you can hear the music right under those high vaulted arches. This Cathedral is a must see.
