I grew up in St. George, Utah a small town a couple of hours outside of Las Vegas. Many people know about St. George because about 45 minutes away is Zion National Park, one of the most amazing places to visit in the world. With Zion in my backyard I spent my childhood climbing and hiking most of the traditional Zion hikes. As I grew older some of my hobbies and interests changed but I still loved the outdoors. I loved experiencing the world.
Growing up my mom wanted to provide me with experiences rather than things, so most summers we would hop in our Mazda van and drive across the country to visit important historical spots across the United States. We took road trips to see Mount Rushmore, Washington DC, and many other places along the way.
As I look back on my life, although I am still young, living so close to amazing outdoor adventures and traveling across the United States has shaped who I am today. I am always planning my next trip. Most weekends I spend my time exploring canyons that only a few hundred people go down a year mixed in with a few bigger trips either in the US or internationally.
I hope that in sharing my experiences I will inspire others to travel and explore the world around them. I also have found some great travel blogs that I love. If you are interested in checking them out click here.
